1005 INTERVIEW

Tell us about your path and how your reality was born?

"I often avoid talking about myself, as if my figure didn't exist. I love to talk about my brand so much that all in all when I do it is like I'm talking about myself. Because I really put my soul, heart, hands and passion into it. I take care of the creative process to the packaging, from the shooting to the publications and I never get tired. I do it as a child who is always discovering new things. I have always had a propensity towards drawing, design and the world of the arts in general. I remember that already in middle school some of my friends asked me to design some clothes for them that they would then make in high school. Instead, I chose a totally different path, an agricultural technical institute, to understand only after years that my world was that of the arts. So, almost by chance, I decided to take the tests at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples where I later found the way to fashion. Since 2019 I have decided to take care of every aspect of the MODUS VIVENDI brand, currently DIECIZEROCINQUE."

How do you carry on the tradition while keeping up with the times?

"A "way of life" is the concept behind my idea of fashion. In fact MODUS VIVENDI, which simplified and pointed becomes MV, which in Roman numerals corresponds to the year 1005, from which precisely TENIZEROCINQUE."

What are your iconic pieces that characterize your brand and how were they born?

"Beauty is in our #MV, like a provisional agreement between two parties: essence and appearance, based on a tacit understanding between them, in order to maintain daily relationships. In our #MV beauty has no limits dictated by standardized aesthetics. Beauty has no age, no borders, no clichés. Beauty is the essence of life. We want everyone to feel beautiful, without prejudice or judgment of others, beauty is found in ways of doing and being. Beauty is invisible to the eye. Three keywords are the basis of DIECIZEROCINQUE: sustainability, avant-garde and inclusiveness. In short, as a brand, 10 05 deals with sustainable fashion; the garments we produce, strictly by hand and in Italy, are garments made with recycled fabrics, patchwork of disused garments, manipulated vintage fabrics, plastic or textile waste. Without any waste and therefore 0 pollution because every form of waste from the cuts is used as padding in jackets or bomber jackets. Each garment is unique and certified both in design and in its uniqueness, so in every garment it is almost a must have of the collection. Thus maintaining a strong artisan tradition but always with an eye to the future. It is not easy to put on an eco-sustainable brand, there are many things to take into consideration. From production, to washing, to maintenance. Passing through the distribution channels, social networks, public relations. Everything has an impact on the environment, even some things we take for granted. But at the same time, the more complicated the challenge, the more desired the result will be and that should be the key point of every job or project."

What are the craft techniques that are part of your heritage and do you still use today?

"In addition to the green and sustainability issue, we are very concerned with that of inclusiveness. We are in fact of the idea that beauty is everywhere and that there are no standards of standard beauty. Fashion, in itself, is an expression of art and art has always been the mirror of the society in which it is conceived and materialized. To date, we believe that fashion, in its utopian world, does not welcome everyone on an equal footing, so we will fight for an ideal of beauty rather than for fashion."

The plans for the future and what strategies are you developing to overcome this moment

"For future projects we will always have the same eye on the three foundations of our work with the usual motto "the wise man waits for the right moment, the madman anticipates it".
